I am alive

I am alive by knowing that I can be alone and be ok

Back in grade 8 ‘Grease‘ came to the local Cinema showing one night only (that is what happens in a small town).  I first asked my friends then found myself trying to coax anyone who just might want to view it with me.  The hours counted down until I decided to go solo.  The whole experience was awkwardly exhilarating as I found myself moving in my seat with an exposing smile painted across my face.  Looking back I am thankful that I made such a choice for I have found myself in many situation where I am my only companion.  I do not want to miss ‘it’ – life, experiences, whatever you want to call it.  With that I want to share this video + poem by Tanya Davis.  It is beautiful to be alone.
